THE SOCIAL LENS
About us!
The Social Lens is a full-service production company that focuses on making impactful branded docos and video content for charities, social enterprises, councils & community organisations.
We like to bookend our impact by also using TSL as a vehicle for creating jobs, learning opportunities and traineeships for neurodiverse people in the film & TV industry!
TSL was founded by proudly autistic freelance cinematographer, Hugo Rutten, and is operated by a small community of neurodiverse filmmakers based in Naarm.
What we offer!
We offer full-service, end-to-end video & photo production.
We have a suite of freelancers to pull from, with expertise across all facets, types and formats of production.
We most often specialise in branded documentary and content for charities and community organisations.
Captivating, well-directed interviews, stunning b-roll and powerful, versatile stills. All optimised for both widescreen and vertical delivery.
We handle the pre-production, including creating the creative concept at the core of the piece, developing the questions, location scouting and securing, crew hiring, the production itself, including catering on full-day shoots and finally, we also cover all post-production, including editing, music, colour grading, and as many multi-platform deliverables and cut-downs as you need!
With every job we do we also have at least 2 neurodiverse crew members and at least 1 neurodiverse trainee! Ensuring that as we amplify your message, we also live up to our own!
Please get in contact with us if you would like to cover your story, organisation, or event!
